It’s All Over Now

It’s all over now, except for …

… the bits of crumpled paper, ribbons, and bows that still litter the floor.

… the pile of linens that need to be washed; the china and crystal that need to be carefully put away.

… the bursting garbage containers that need to be emptied.

… the containers of leftover food to be recycled into future meals.

… the trays of leftover cookies, tarts, and other sweets that are still sending out their siren call.

… the resolutions to be made to end the excessive eating, drinking, late nights, and lack of exercise.

… the wonderful memories of time spent with family and friends; the laughter and the stories.

… especially the memories ….

  2. Just think how all that clearing up and cleaning and washing will be good for your figure! (And put the cookies in the freezer – slightly less accessible.) Positive thoughts!
