If you follow me on Instagram (@Blaze002), you will likely recognize the opening photo.
Recently, my friend Suzanne and I discovered this visually stunning place called Primitive Designs in Port Hope, about an hour’s drive east of Toronto.
It is actually a retail store of unusual art, wood carvings, and oh so much more!
Our eyes were already bugging out of our heads before we even pulled into the parking lot. By the time we got out of the car, I could hear the humming.
Before long they were belting out the tunes.
Take a listen.

This looks like an amazing place to explore. I’m always in awe of those giant metal sculptures. My oldest can weld and I told him he needs to make a giant creation for my yard. 🙂 Great song choices for the photos.

Well I have always wanted a massive metal rhinoceros in my yard. Except I don’t think it would fit. How incredibly cool is that? Especially if I can get him to sing Proud Mary!
I’d love to explore a place like this. Super fun.

Love the song choices. Like Heather, I’m feeling grateful I already had music playing — Visage’s Fade to Grey — which totally doesn’t work with any of these sculptures.

Wowzers. I love the rhino one! I think you should put it in your yard or next to your front door. Now that would be quite the conversation piece! And would scare of potential intruders too…. haha. Love it. How unique. Some serious welding happening here.

Miraculously, I appear to have escaped this post without an earworm but I do have Spotify playing relaxing music in the background as I read. But if I wake up with “I’m so pretty” in my head tomorrow, I’m coming back to have words…
Clever post. Loved the song matches. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to watch Transformers in quite the same way ever again.

At last someone ‘got’ my song choices! I was inspired 😉
There have been occasions when Julie Andrews has been stuck in my head and won’t go away. When I start singing it’s definitely NOT pretty!

That was actually a dinosaur – T-Rex, if I’m not mistaken. There was however a 3-headed dragon too, but I didn’t include him.
I had a lot of fun putting music to the photos. I had so many more photos to play with but at some point it was wiser to go with less 🙂

These are very cool, even the ones I wouldn’t want. I’ve seen some similar creations at art walks in Naperville and really enjoyed them. Here I especially like the sheep and the rhino.
